Privacy Policy

Who we are
ILY (“the App”) is operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use ILY on iOS, Android, or related services at ily.chat.

Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, profile photo, authentication tokens.
- Family content: photos, videos, messages, voice notes, reactions, and calendar-related information you choose to upload or create.
- Device & usage: app version, device type, approximate diagnostics, and crash logs needed to keep the service reliable.
- Purchase data: subscription status and product identifiers from Apple or Google (we do not receive your full payment card number).
How we use information
- Provide the family album, private chat, and related features.
- Authenticate you, enforce family membership and roles, and apply plan limits.
- Process subscription entitlements confirmed by the App Store or Google Play.
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
- Respond to support requests you send us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run advertisements inside ILY, and we do not use family photos for advertising.
The only marketing exception is that we may tell you about other apps in our own ecosystem: products owned and developed by us for child development or for keeping families together. We do not sell customer data to third parties, and we do not run third-party ads in the App.
Family photos, videos, and voice notes are stored in private Amazon S3 object storage. Application servers coordinate accounts and permissions; they are not used as a place to keep your media files. Media access uses time-limited signed URLs. Amazon S3 operates under AWS compliance programs that include ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, and ISO/IEC 27018 (see the AWS ISO certified services list and AWS Artifact for certificates).
Privacy is of the utmost importance to us. Family photos can be extremely sensitive, and we believe you should be able to trust the platform you use to keep them. More detail is on our Security page.
Sharing
We share data only as needed to operate ILY, including:
- Infrastructure providers (hosting, object storage, email delivery) under contract.
- Apple and Google for subscription validation.
- Family members you invite, according to permissions in the App.
- Authorities when required by law.
Retention & deletion
We retain account and family content while your account or family remains active. You may request deletion of your account or content by contacting [email protected] or through in-app controls where available. Some records may be retained for legal, security, or billing dispute purposes for a limited period.
Children
ILY is intended for families. Accounts should be created by adults. Children’s information (such as names or birth dates you enter for timeline labels) is provided by family members and used only to operate family features.
International transfers
We may process data in countries where our providers operate. We take appropriate measures to protect information in line with applicable law.
Your choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Submit a request on our Privacy Rights page or email [email protected]. For general privacy questions, contact [email protected].
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date.
